My Payment Failed

If your payment attempt failed, you have not been charged.

What you may see instead is a temporary “pending” charge, also known as an authorization hold. This is a standard part of online payment processing and does not mean funds were taken.

Why Payments Fail

All payments are processed through Stripe, an industry-leading, secure, and reliable payment processor.

When a payment fails, it is typically due to one of the following reasons:

  • The transaction was declined by your bank due to suspected fraud risk

  • Insufficient funds

  • Incorrect card or bank information entered

  • Bank restrictions on recurring or auto-pay transactions

ParkingPass does not control these decisions and cannot override payment declines issued by your bank or card provider.

What Is a Pending Charge?

When you attempt a payment, your bank may place a temporary authorization hold to confirm funds are available.

If the payment ultimately fails, this hold will automatically release according to your bank’s timeline. This process is controlled entirely by your financial institution.

If you see a pending charge after a failed payment:

  • It is not a completed transaction

  • Funds have not been successfully captured

  • The hold will drop off automatically

Important Notes

  • ParkingPass does not store your payment information.

  • Payment approvals and declines are determined by your bank or card issuer.

  • Authorization holds are controlled by your financial institution and cannot be manually removed by ParkingPass.

Troubleshooting

If your payment fails:

  • Confirm your payment information is entered correctly

  • Ensure there are sufficient funds available

  • Contact your bank to confirm there are no fraud blocks or restrictions

  • If using auto-pay, verify your bank allows recurring transactions

  • Ask your bank whether there are any restrictions related to ParkingPass

If the issue continues, consider using a different form of payment.
