Restricted Guest Vehicles
Some guest vehicles may become restricted based on your community’s parking rules. Below is an explanation of how this happens and what your options are.
How Does a Guest Vehicle Become Restricted?
Each community sets limits on how long a guest vehicle may park on the property. This is typically based on consecutive days parked.
Once a guest vehicle reaches the maximum allowed consecutive days:
-
The vehicle becomes restricted
-
The vehicle is not permitted to park on the property again until the restriction period ends
You can view your community’s guest vehicle limits and restriction periods by:
-
Reviewing the parking policy available in your account menu, or
-
Selecting the Parking Policy link within your resident portal
What Are My Options if a Vehicle Is Restricted?
When a guest vehicle is restricted:
-
The vehicle cannot park on the property until the restriction expires
-
ParkingPass cannot remove or override the restriction
If you believe there are special circumstances, you may:
-
Contact your property management office to explain the situation
-
Request guidance directly from your property team
ParkingPass Support Specialists are not authorized to remove guest vehicle restrictions for any account.
What If My Property Management Office Is Closed?
If your property management office is unavailable:
-
The restricted guest vehicle is still considered in violation of parking policy
-
The vehicle must be parked elsewhere until the restriction period ends or until property management can be contacted
