Understanding Who Controls Parking Rules and Guest Allotments
At ParkingPass.com, we provide the software and digital tools to help manage parking smoothly and efficiently. However, we often receive questions and complaints regarding guest parking limits, specific community rules, and parking violations. To help you get your issues resolved as quickly as possible, it is important to understand the different roles involved in managing your community's parking.
Your Property Management Company
They set the rules and limits.
ParkingPass.com does not decide how many guest passes you receive or what the parking regulations are. Your Property Management Company (or HOA) completely determines and configures:
- Resident Vehicle Allotments: How many resident vehicles are allowed per unit.
-
Guest Allotments: The duration your guests are permitted to park. How many active guest passes you can have. And anything guest related.
-
Parking Rules: Rules regarding resident parking, visitor parking, enforced rules, parking permits and more.
What to do: If you feel your guest parking allotment is too low, or if you have questions about a specific community parking policy, please contact your Property Management Office directly. ParkingPass.com does not have the authorization to change these rules or grant extra passes.
The Parking Enforcement Company
They enforce the rules and issue parking violations.
ParkingPass.com is a software platform; we do not employ parking enforcement officers, patrol lots, or issue violations. Local parking enforcement companies are hired by your property management to monitor the lots. They are responsible for:
-
Issuing parking violations.
-
Immobilizing vehicles (booting).
-
Authorizing vehicle towing.
What to do: If you received a parking violation or if your vehicle was towed, you must contact the Enforcement Company listed on the signage posted around your property. ParkingPass.com has no authority or access to waive fines, cancel violations, or release vehicles.
ParkingPass.com
We provide the software.
Think of us as the digital bridge. We provide the software that allows you to register your vehicle and activate guest passes based strictly on the parameters set by your property management.
